The College of St. Benedict and St. John’s University Marketing Club is an official collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA). We are a not-for-profit organization comprised of CSB/SJU students interested in learning more about the marketing world.
As the leading organization for marketers, the AMA is the trusted go-to resource for marketers and academics. The American Marketing Association (AMA) was established in 1937 by visionaries in marketing and academia. Today, the AMA has grown to be one of the largest marketing associations in the world, with over 30,000 members who work, teach and study in the field of marketing across the globe.
Our Faculty Advisor: Dr. Lisa Lindgren
Professor Lisa Lindgren has been an associate professor in the Global Business Leadership program at CSB/SJU since 2007. She currently teaches Global Marketing, Product Management and Doing Business in Latin America.She has also been involved with the AMA for over 8 years.
She has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Minnesota in Computer Science, continued on to get her MBA with focus on Information Management from the University of St. Thomas, then in 2006 she received her PhD in Organization & Management with concentrations in E-Business and Marketing from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She started off her professional career as a Systems Analyst for NCR Corporation in 1984, moved into Product Management form NCR in 1988, then moved on to be a Senior Project Manager for Memorex Telex Corporation in 1992, and finally she was a Product Line Manager for Cisco Systems from 1995-1997. She began teaching at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire where was the Marketing Club faculty advisor for 4 years while at PSU, then in 2007 she became a Associate Professor at CSB/SJU.
Professor Lindgren also serves as a Board Member for DAYTA Marketing, a social media marketing company based out of St. Cloud, Minnesota that was started in 2012 by an SJU alumnus. She also has served as the faculty advisor for the Mayo Innovation Scholars Program since 2008 at CSB/SJU.
We are excited to have Professor Lindgren on board and she is excited for another great year in the CSB/SJU Marketing Club!
